November is Here!!

October flew by and, now that November is here, it’s FINALLY starting to look like fall in the Capital Region. This weekend, we made a quick trip to the National Mall and took this picture in the Enid A. Haupt Garden near the Smithsonian:

Foliage in DC

Joi enjoys visiting the garden during the spring and summer, to see their succulents and tropical plant exhibit, but cooler temperatures and vibrant foliage also make it a great destination for a fall walk.

We feel so fortunate to be so close to so many cultural and historical attractions and, as a native and a long-term resident of the area, each of us has fond memories of school field trips and family day trips to local monuments and museums (the Museum of Natural History and the Air and Space Museum are among our favorites :-)). There’s always something to see and do and a new experience to share!
