We had a great 4th of July weekend! Before the 4th we spent a few days at a house in Deep Creek, MD with four other couples and their kids. We had 6 kids in the house, all girls and all 4 and under. We weren’t sure how things were going to go with so many babies in the house (3 of them were less than a year) but we ended up having a great time. All of the kids got along really well and for the most part stuck to their schedules. We did a little hiking, a little swimming, and a lot of relaxing and hanging out. This is the 2nd year in a row we went on a trip with friends and we hope to continue it every year. Some of them live out of state so it’s great to see them every now and then.
On the day we got back, the three of us went to a neighborhood in Pittsburgh along the water and walked the trails, played in the parks, and got a bite to eat. It was so nice to have that family time after spending a few days with so many people.
The day after that we drove to Erie, PA and spent part of the afternoon at the beach and the rest at an amusement park. We were definitely beat after constantly being on the go.
Finally, on the 4th we had a really low key cookout with just a couple of family members over for dinner. This was one of my favorite weekends ever! So many memories made and so much fun!!!
