July and August turned into the busiest months of the season for us and we are happy they did. We spent most of our Sunday’s at Chloe’s parents house hosting pool days with our closest friends and their families. It always warms our hearts to see our friends’ little families enjoying time together and seeing how well all of the kids swimming has progressed since last year. We also got to welcome another “niece” into our lives. One of Jason’s best friends and bandmate welcomed a baby girl into the world with his wife last month.
We also said farewell to Jason’s stepsister this month. She and her boyfriend drove across country to start a new chapter in their life in Oregon. We can not wait until they are settled and we can take a trip out to visit them. Oregon has always been on our list of places to go. It’s hard watching family move away but we always love finding reasons to visit or travel together.
This week Chloe and one of her bestfriends spent a day canning peaches, they made enough to last both of our families for the winter! They canned a total of 38 quarts of peaches!! Kendall, Chloe’s life long friend, had her children in the kitchen with them for assistance and they were a great help. We love seeing how well they work in the kitchen at such a young age.
This week we will be welcoming some of our dear friend’s from out of town and their little boy to stay with us. Every year we all go to the Philadelphia Folk Festival together. Chloe and Adam grew up camping at the Folk Festival and love sharing their love for the tradition with Jason and Adam’s wife Leeza. Sadly the group of us will not be camping this year like we have in years past but we will get the new experience of showing a one year old the beauty of the festival each day.
The month will finish off seeing a Cirque du Soleil preformance, one of Chloe’s favorite shows to see. Chloe will also be celebrating a delayed father’s day with her dad to see a soccer match in Philadelphia. We love having such an action packed end of summer and can’t wait to see what fally has in store for us. As of now we have a camping trip planned with friend’s and their children.
