Sara’s Grandmother, the same one we visited for a belated birthday celebration (mentioned in the last post), passed away last week. The funeral was in Philadelphia. While it’s hard to call any event like that ‘nice’, it was at least well done. Some positives to take out are the stories, there are always good stories that come out during or shortly after funerals. Plus, I think I mentioned it last post, it’s always good to see that extended group get together, even if the circumstances are…a bit adverse. Also, it was my first time the city of Philly. I look forward to the chance to get to explore it a bit in earnest. Afterwards, Sara and I decided to make at least a weekend trip there. I get to explore and we get to hang out with at least some of Sara’s cousins. Hopefully, that’ll be sometime this spring/summer.
So yeah…long week. We’re still a bit on the recovery side of things. In what is probably good timing, extra activities are winding down for the summer. Band is already finished and I’ve got one more handbell performance. So at least our weeknights get a bit less busy.
