We’re in Argentina! A few weeks ago Esteban was asked to teach a short summer course at the university where he did his Master’s degree. Since Melissa has a flexible job and can work from anywhere, we decided to do a work-vacation together! We spent the first few days in a suburb of Buenos Aires called Tigre, which is close to the university. It has a lovely riverwalk and a colorful open-air market, and we had a lot of fun exploring each evening after work. We then headed to Esteban’s hometown (another suburb of Buenos Aires) and stayed with his parents for a couple days. We had some fantastic meals with his family: Argentina (and Esteban’s mom!) is famous for beef and pasta. So deliciousss. We’ve also eaten too many sweets, especially the amazing gelato that is sold everywhere. This weekend we’ll be heading to a national park in another province; stay tuned for some plant and animal photos from that (fingers crossed that we see a giant anteater)!
