I just got back from Quantico, VA last night. I had a quick trip up there to take care of some work and right back here to the grind today. I am preparing to transition to a new position at work where I will be able to quickly expand on my knowledge of our company. That meant a busy day filling in my replacements with what they needed to continue with my current project after I’m gone.
After work I hit the gym and then picked up the boys. They came with me to get groceries; they are always excited for that because it means a cookie. Then we went home to play. As usual they played with the kids from the neighborhood. I cooked up some dinner, we ate, and went back out to play until the rain came. That has become routine. Play with the neighborhood kids, eat dinner, play more with the other kids, and then get ready for bed. At least I got a turn to play because we were forced inside when it began storming.
What a difference an hour can make around here:
(Ignore the mess in the garage – I need to organize the kid’s things)
There’s a reason we say if we don’t like the forecast around here we’ll wait until tomorrow. Overall we had a pretty fun day. Kids are in bed and I’m off to read a bit before I fall asleep.
