This weekend, in preparation for a trip to Michigan, it was bath time for Gatsby! In the colder months, Gatsby gets a bath in the house, but not in the summer. Several years ago, we bought a rubber horse trough to bathe Gatsby in. He doesn’t mind his bath, but sometimes getting him into a tub, no matter the tub, is difficult. Once he’s in, he gets scrubbed up, hosed down and then dried off. While he does get a bath, Matthew and I also usually end up soaked from head to toe. When a dog as big as Gatsby shakes, people in other counties get wet!
Matthew spent part of the weekend helping some friends start the move to their newly built house. While he was gone, Gatsby and I played outside as the weather was so nice. I was also able to cut the very first blooms from my hydrangea plants. They are gorgeous.
With a trip to MI scheduled soon, we will have plenty to blog about I’m sure. I’m also hoping that I can convince Matthew to write a short post about helping our friends this weekend.
