Chris and I went to a birthday party this weekend for Henry, the son of our good friends, Adam and Jen. We have a whole crew of close friends with kids under two (which we cannot wait to join!) so got to spend the day with some of our newest friends: 2-year old Kavi (who really, really likes balloons, 2-year old Nori, and the birthday boy, Henry.
If you’ve watched our video, you may remember me saying that Chris often breaks out into a huge grin when around kids, which I find absolutely charming. So do most kids, including Kavi and Henry. He had to work a little harder getting Kavi to grin, but he got there. Sadly, we don’t have photographic evidence, but this was taken right before the grin occured. 🙂
As we were leaving, another guest at the party plopped this guy into Chris’s arms as he got his other children ready to go. It somehow made me really proud that Chris was so clearly comfortable with kids that a stranger saw it clearly that Chris was the man to occupy his son. Of course, Chris had the little guy smiling and laughing in no time. 🙂
