Katy’s parents came in for the weekend to celebrate an early Christmas together because we’re going to Brian’s mom’s after Christmas. We had a really fun weekend which included seeing the Christmas Carol at Ford’s theater, visiting the National Christmas Tree, and dinner in DC. It was Katy’s parents’ first time seeing the National Christmas Tree, and if you can’t tell from the photo it was so cold it definitely felt like Christmas!
We have a yearly tradition of taking a selfie in front of the tree, here is this years!
Katy and her mom had to get one too!
It was great spending time together and talking about the excitement of us adopting. Katy’s mom brought her baptism gown, that when our baby is baptised, it will be the third generation wearing it. She also brought us a beautiful baby blanket they bought while on a trip to Amish Country recently. It is mostly green and yellow – perfect for a boy or girl!
