We had our yearly Christmas party this weekend. We do a White Elephant gift exchange where all of the adults bring a gift for $10 or less and then trade/steal from one another. It’s always a good laugh with some funny and some cute gifts. We also all get gifts for each of our friend’s children, so the kids love opening up with their presents and playing with them. It’s fun to get all of the kids together and watch them run around. They love each other so much, and they just all love playing together.
It’s a similar feeling with the adults. We all really love each other – we’ve been friends for such a long time now – almost 15 years some of us now. We’ve created a family for ourselves; we all parent the children, all take care of them when we’re together, and we just every second. It’s my favorite party every year, and we love hosting it.
Then our friend’s Christine and Andrew stayed the night because they came from out of town for it, so in the morning, we went to do an escape room and had lunch at a local farmer’s market. The escape room is within walking distance of our house, and we love them! This one was their difficult level one, and we finished it in under 50 minutes which they said maybe only 25% of participants do. My husband Steve was thrilled! He loves them, as do I. We had a blast with our friends!
