Easter Weekend
This weekend was definitely not how we would normally celebrate the Easter weekend, but we made the best of it. Normally we would be traveling from house to house getting together with both sides of our family for Easter dinner or brunch along with egg coloring and Easter egg hunts.
Saturday we cleaned and relaxed around the house since it was chilly outside. In the afternoon Dan and MacKenzie took a long hike in a nearby state park to do some fishing. Unfortunately, they didn’t catch anything but got in some exercise and enjoyed the fresh air.
Sunday morning was so much fun watching MacKenzie find Easter eggs, her basket, and enjoy all the goodies. To celebrate with our family while maintaining social distancing we did a Zoom chat with Jennifer’s side of the family and even played a remote game of Easter bingo. Later in the day we had another Zoom chat with Dan’s side of the family, which was nice because we got to see and talk to family as far away as Texas. After all the inside stuff we went outside and enjoyed some nice weather. We cleaned up the yard and took care of our chickens. To end the night we had a nice home-cooked Easter meal and all played a family-fun game.
