I just had one of the best father’s day weekends anyone could hope for. Bianca was kind enough to switch shifts at the hospital so we could visit Raleigh, NC for the weekend. Saturday I got to play in Raleigh’s Hurling tournament. We came in second and not a person on the team slacked for a moment. Never been prouder of our Charleston team. As I tell Caleb, it is okay if you don’t win all the time.
Sunday Bianca had a wonderful day planned for us. We visited Pullen Park, which, has to be the most beautiful city park I have ever been to. We got to take the kids on a train ride, carousel rides, and we played on the playground there.
Those are supposed to be silly faces. Caleb left us hanging.
After Pullen Park we visited Marbles Kids Museum. It had a bunch of things for the kids to play with and get their imaginations going. There were firetrucks to play in, trains to play with, pirate ships to explore, and the list keeps going. We would definitely have a membership if we lived there.
Truly a wonderful weekend. I cannot express how thankful I am for my family. Even the much dreaded car ride with the kids turned out okay with some fun dinner stops.
