This post is long overdue, but it has been an extremely busy week with Aunt Brooke and Uncle Eric here. While they were here we got to take them to the aquarium and to the trampoline park with the boys. The boys were very happy to see them. They left Thursday to visit Savannah.
In the meantime we got both boys ready for a trip with Yaya and Nono to California. Caleb was promised if he potty trained he could go with them and Ethan was a lucky beneficiary of that pact as well. Both boys got to go on an airplane which was thrilling for both when they left Saturday. Everyone made it safely and we’ve been using Facebook Messenger to video chat since they got there.
After their flight departed Bianca and I met Aunt Brooke and Uncle Eric at Myles and Jun Yakitori. That happens to be Bianca’s favorite restaurant so she was thrilled when she found out where we were going. My tastes are on the opposite end of the spectrum, while I do like Japanese food and in general find Indian cuisine to be a little bit of an obsession, my favorite restaurant is Tattooed Moose in downtown Charleston. Nothing like a Duck Club sandwich with duck fat fries!
After dinner we went to see Spiderman: Far From Home. It was pretty good. I’ve been a Spiderman and Venom fan since I was in elementary school and I’ve gotta say I felt like the Amazing Spider-man movies with Andrew Garfield were much better in my opinion. Personal opinion, I know most people like the new MCU films better. The Venom movie that finally came out was a huge disappointment to me… but I watched it nonetheless and even re-watched it over the course of last week. (Every movie is a marathon when you have kids!)
Sunday I started my latest project. With the kids gone I am reworking our back patio and expanding it.
Materials Staging Area – Formerly The Garden
As you can see I have a lot of pavers to put down and mortar. Hope to have it completed by midafternoon on Saturday!
