Our 6-year-old son, who cannot wait to be a big brother, LOVES his school. It is such a warm, loving, creative place. Efraim actually gets mad if he has to miss school due to school break or being sick. This week is part of a 2 crazy weeks program when the kids and teachers get to do lots of super silly stuff. It started last Friday with the kids walking into the school greeted by two of the staff members dressed up as Mini Mouse and Elmo. The children thought that was hilarious! Yesterday, most of the kids, teachers and staff wore pajamas. Today was sports day. I ordered a Shamrock Red Sox shirt for Efraim to wear since we are part Irish, it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, and we love the Red Sox, but for some reason the order did not go through. I had to think fast. Efraim loves biking. He could wear a bike helmet! He also loves gingerbread men and we happen to have a cute little gingerbread person who is snowboarding. So, he went to school this morning wearing his bike helmet with the snowboarding gingerbread person pinned to his shirt. He was very excited about the unusual additions to his outfit. Other fun days this week and next include crazy hair day, mustache day, crazy hat day, pi day, and some surprises from the teachers and staff. We are so lucky to be part of this amazing school community, and look forward to adopting and having our second child at this wonderful school.
