Handling the Current Norm

I’ve been hearing the current pandemic stay-at-home orders are either going to make or break relationships.  Thankfully, Kevin and I are on the “make” side.  It probably helps that our house gives us plenty of individual space if we need it 🙂  I am definitely the worrier, while Kevin is the “it’ll be alright” side, and luckily that creates a great balance for us.  That balance really helps when trying to explain to our son why things are the way they are right now … and why “yes, you still need to get up early even if you don’t have to catch the bus”.  It took us a few days to get into a regular schedule for remote work and remote school but I think we’re doing pretty good.  It has been hard to be physically away from family, like our parents and siblings; FaceTime and Zoom have become our connections.  I started a weekly remote trivia night for the group of moms I hang with; it gives us moms a chance to vent our concerns and get support and ideas for entertaining our little ones.  I hope whoever reads this is able to stay safe during this crazy time!
