We just got back from vacation! It was a wonderful trip and much needed.
We left last Tuesday for the Dominican Republic. We had to wake up at 4 am to catch an early flight. Isabella was a trooper. She loves flying. We started taking her on trips when she was pretty young, flying back and forth to Michigan to visit her grandparents. I think starting young makes all the difference. Lots of snacks and activities don’t hurt either.
Lots of people are surprised we bring our child with us, but it is a family vacation. We hope to show our children that there is more to the world than just the United States. There are so many wonderful people to meet and amazing places to go. I definitely have the travel bug!
We stayed at a resort in Punta Cana. It had a lot of restaurants and beach activities. We went sailing on a catamaran. We went kayaking. We swam in the pool every day!
One day, Michael and Isabella went parasailing. They had so much fun! I captured some shots of them leaving the boat.
We also took a day excursion to swim with sting rays and nurse sharks. It was amazing to be so close to those animals, plus it was fun to dance on the boat. Our favorite part was going downtown to meet the locals and explore.
We had a great time. We can’t wait to have another little one to explore the world with.
