Living in NYC, every so often we like to get out and convene with nature. We are fortunate to have access to a cottage just outside of the city, and we have been visiting for several years. We hiked at Bear Mountain Park, went to a farm, and toured an 18th century house. We would love to share our experiences in nature with your child. ♥♥
Here are snippets from our recent trip:
We awoke one morning to find a doe in the cottage driveway. She stood for a minute, then crept behind a large boulder, and seconds later, darted down an embankment out of sight.
Then we saw some movement across the way. At first, we thought it was a dog, but then a flurry of flapping feathers revealed it was a wild turkey! Following the bird down to the ground, we discovered five more of its friends.
