Just another June weekend for Daniel and Jen. Friday nights are date nights, whether or not we stay in or go out we make time to reconnect with each other EVERY Friday. This Friday we ordered Chinese food from our local Chinese resturant. Can never go wrong with kung pow chicken, veggie stirfry, white and fried rice, and a spring roll to top it off!
We decided to stay in and have date night because Jen was recovering from a cold and you cannot EVER get in too many cuddles on the coach!
Saturday was full of relaxation, fun, and gardening! We almost have ripe tomatoes and we have already harvested kale for salads.
Sunday was a bit of an adventure. We had Sunday church service in a park and served breakfast! Who doesn’t like full bellies while listening to worship music and solid biblical teaching?! Plus, Daniel lead worship with his guitar and voice with another amazing guitarist. They played “Holy Is the Lord (We stand and Lift up our Hands)”, “The Wonderful Cross”, and “One Thing Remains” with two accoustic guitars and vocals. It was super laid back.
While Daniel was leading worship, Jen was behind the scenes supporting sound and making sure everyone knew when they needed to go front and center. She was feeling a little bit better and made it through with lots of coughing.
Hope everyone had a fantastic week! May you be strengthened and inspired by both the light and the dark of this beautiful world.
