Ahh its been so long since I have blogged! It has been a sprint to the finish with school and I am so happy I am done! On the day of my last exam, Audrey and Paul surprised me with a party! It was so sweet and I felt so loved and supported!
Audrey and Paul are HUGE starwars fans! And on May the 4th….which is a big starwars holiday, Paul and Audrey participated in a starwars fun run and after party. They had fun dressing up, watching costume contests, participating in a family fun 5K, and also making their own light sabers.
Paul worked on our garden! He started even more seeds and they are sprouting! Its very rewarding to see something you planted grow!
Paul and I went out to our favorite burger place for a date. We aim to have a lunch date every Wednesday while Audrey is at school – but the past few weeks have been crazy…so we were happy we finally got to go out! We love burgers and this place is great b/c they play country music:)
Paul has had to work the last few Fridays into the late evening so Audrey and I have had fun! We went to gymnastics open gym (which she loves), painted our nails, and had a movie night in my bed. She really likes to wear our matching pajamas on movie nights and sit under my heated blanket hehe:) And I love to cuddle and have a reason to watch kid movies:)
We went to a church BBQ last week and Paul was voluntold (hahha) and participated in a chili eating contest! There were 5 founds of chilis…they got hotter each round and we were all proud he made it to round 4!
This weekend was also mother’s day! I felt SO loved the entire weekend! For my gift this year, Paul spent all day Saturday spring cleaning with me! It was so wonderful – we cleaned out the kitchen, all the closets and the biggest task…the garage! It looks SO amazing and is completely swept out! We were also able to clean and re-organize the nursery! We have had our nursery set up for a while now, but it became a room we used as storage, so its nice to get it organized and clean for a new little person. I can’t wait and I think cleaning made it feel more real. 🙂 We are all so excited to meet you sweet baby!
On Sunday, I slept in (one of my FAVORITE things), and was awoken with starbucks coffee, and an amazing breakfast in bed. We went to church, then my favorite burger place…and then in the afternoon I took a nap and spent some time in my hammock…it was seriously the most perfect day!
Happy mothers day to you too! I hope and am praying you feel loved and celebrated today:)
