We did it! We played in the GAA Hurling Nationals. I would love to prattle on about how we brought home the cup, but unfortunately we didn’t quite win it. We were knocked out the first round by Phillidelphia who has an amazing team. I’m not going to lie, those first fifteen minutes were brutal, but after we got settled, we at least matched them the rest of the game. Philidephia went on to win our division by the way. We did get to play again on Sunday against Coastal Virginia. We’ve played them before as Hampton Roads before they merged with another team (That’s my understanding anyway) to become Coastal Virginia. They are a great team and we lost to them by a mere point. Most people would be disappointed in two losses, but I’ve gotta say seeing the team out there playing their hearts out was a great experience. You can tell everyone has been working really hard this year. We have first year guys out there that look like seasoned veterans and will only be getting better by next year!
(Finn, the guy in the white jersey is our goal keeper and knows everyone, just an FYI if you want to get involved in GAA)
In other news Ethan has oofficially started using the potty so he got a new bike and both boys got new protective gear.
As you can tell we are big Spider-man fans around here. I told Caleb when they are older I’ll get my old action figures from my parent’s house for them.
As for today, the girls came over and we used finger paints to decorate the inside of the the playset… supposedly. What a mess!
All for now – Matt
