Well this has been an exciting week! I have a few highlights below….
First, OK…I am a Texas girl and have been in Colorado almost six years. For some reason, I am still so surprised when it snows a lot or blizzards in April! As soon as the weather starts becoming nice – I put my winter coat and boots away and get out my chacos!
I think mentally – I am thinking “it is definitely spring!”….silly me spring in Colorado doesn’t fully exist until May! Anyway, I go inside my closet and dig all my winter gear out…and sadly put my chacos in the shoe bin next to our front door…on a positive note when it does snow in April or May, it melts really fast and in no time it is “spring” outside…until the next snow..haha
We had to cancel our small group scheduled that night b/c of the blizzard, so we stayed in, snuggled on the couch and watched a movie which was nice!
Paul ran a half marathon! We were SO proud of him! He sprained his MCL last year and broke his leg (fibula – near his ankle) in 2017 so this was his first long race back! His legs are definitely hurting today..haha but he loves pushing and challenging himself physically. The race ended at the brewery he works at so it was fun seeing his co workers and we even got to go inside the brewery. Audrey LOVES seeing where daddy works and where the beer is made.
I am very proud of myself….B/C I took 5 kids to the library so the dads could hang out for breakfast in my mini van! Ok…so I know mini vans are not the coolest cars, but they seriously are so functional! I could fit 6 of us comfortably!
Audrey and her buddy Evangeline who is about her age, decided they needed to dress up for the occasion and wore princess dresses. They were really excited to find the disney section. I have wonderful memories as a kid going to the library and I am thankful my parents made the library fun and reading fun. It will be so fun to bring a baby into the mix. I am looking forward to attending baby story time again!
Other news…. I got a A on my Anatomy and Physiology test! I was pretty proud and able to take a weekend off from studying and go out with some girl friends for dinner. We had a BLAST and laughed SO much! I am thankful for these wonderful ladies in my life.
Thinking about you! I wonder if you like school or the snow? Did you grow up in CO or somewhere else? Whats your favorite season? I am excited to meet you someday and find out the answers!
