One morning on my walk, the sky was so pretty, I had to take a picture. I enjoy being outside, hearing the birds sing, the wind in the trees, and even neighbors out doing yardwork. Moving, being outside, feeling connected to my neighborhood, and getting some exercise all make my day run much more smoothly. : )
Joel likes to be outside, too, but he prefers to work in the yard (mow, trim bushes & trees, dig/pull weeds), water the grass/plants, look at the plants, trees, & bushes, & watch the squirrels & birds, and check on his herb garden. He planted several herbs a few years ago, and the rosemary, lemon thyme, and something else are still alive. I can’t remember what he planted at first… I am NOT a plant person, but I do like to look at plants, especially flowers. I also eat plants (herbs, fruits, veggies), but am not a yard work or gardener-type person. I’m working on that.
We have several rose bushes in our yard that bloom a few times each year. The yellow roses are some of my favorites.
I have been learning how to mow this summer. Here is evidence that I’ve gotten some practice recently.
Another end to a not-so perfect, but wonderful day. (This is actually a picture I took as a storm was rolling into town during my ‘vacation’ with a friend in Oklahoma. I say ‘vacation’ because I worked more that week than I usually do at home, but it was fun… more about that later.)
