The workweek can feel like a sprint at times. While we are both committed to priortizing our time together as a family during the week, Sunday often feels like the pit stop before the next race of a workweek begins. Sundays at home usually start off with a big breakfast of eggs or pancakes (Dan has been practicing his pancake game in anticipation of Pancakle Sunday in the coming years). Then we usually go for a long walk with Berkeley. We especially like walking on the Anacostia River Trail along the Anacostia River or walking to Lincoln Park for a picnic and time for Berkeley to see her canine buddies. We almost always have a big Sunday night dinner in the dining room. We’ll cook something special like lasagna or roast chicken. Afterwards we watch a movie or TV together. We love our Sundays together but are even more excited to adapt our traditions to focus around a little one. We’re so excited to wake up together, make pancakes, read stories, play with blocks, walk to the playground, or meet up with a playgroup. We just can’t wait for spend Sundays together as a family.
