Every November my family and close family friends head to the mountains to celebrate Thanksgiving, be thankful for another year of tradition and fun and to kick of the festive season!
This year was no exception- we cooked an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, had fires, roasted marshmallos, watched silly Christmas movies like Elf and Christmas Vacation! We played board games, put puzzles together, played many games of Uno and even found time to read!
We started our holiday shopping on Black Friday, went and found all the twinkly christmas lights, visited the North Pole, drank cocoa and made our lists to mail to Santa.
We even found time to hike in the mountains, breathe in all the fresh air and maybe even worked off some of those apple pie calories!
Not only is this weekend filled with family, friends and fun- it also gives us the opportunity to slow down, enjoy the season, remember how lucky we all are and be thankful for all our blessings.
I wanted to share this post with you because this weekend tops the charts for me in as far as memory making. I look forward to this as one of my many family traditions!
