On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we put up our Christmas tree together. During Christmas, we love spending time in our living room listening to Christmas music. Ollie and Mav both love hanging out under the tree!
Wednesday evening, we drove the two hours across Indiana to Adam’s parents’ house. The highlight of the evening was a homecooked meal together with Adam’s brother and parents. crockpot slow roasted pork loin, apples, and veggies — served with fresh corn and buttery croissants.
On Thanksgiving we had lunch with Adam’s Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Mom, Dad, and Brother. Then, Jenny, Adam’s mom, and Adam’s Nana went black Friday shopping together. The best part – laughing until we cried when Nana found a singing Santa hat with Antlers at a CVS.
On Friday, we road with Adam’s mom and Nana to Ohio for a Jewish naming ceremony for Adam’s cousin’s baby girl. It was so sweet to watch family gather together to celebrate this new little life!
On Saturday, Jenny went shopping with her best friend forever – who is expecting a baby in March. No trip home is complete without some girl time! Meanwhile, Adam stayed home and grilled wings with his dad and watched a college football game. Later, Adam and Jenny went over to Nana’s house to help her put up her Christmas tree – we have done this for the past ten years together! Then, that evening we had our favorite local pizza together. No trip home is complete without pizza! Then, we went back to Nana’s house to help her update her electronics and install a new printer.
On Sunday, we drove back home. Jenny had several orders from her online handmade jewelry business to fill. Our cats were thrilled to have us back home!
