Hello! We are new to blogging so please bear with us. 🙂 We’ve had a full schedule lately of work, church, traveling and family gatherings. Greg’s job as a pediatrician has kept him busy with lots of sickness this time of year. We are thankful that he has such a steady job where he is well needed. I’m thankful I (Tara) can stay at home and be there for him to take care of things around here so he can relax some.
We took a break last month and vacationed in California for a little over a week. It was a beautiful and fun trip! We thoroughly enjoyed getting our feet in the sand, hiking in the redwoods and of course enjoying some Disney magic while there. We try to take a vacation or two each year and it really helps us recharge when we can get away with just our little family which is currently just the two of us. We dream of a day when there will be three and we can share these expereinces with a child. I just melt when I see the little princess and pirates boutiques at Disney and can’t wait to dress our future child up and share in the Disney fun with them.
We are staying active attending church services here three times a week. We have a couple of get-togethers coming up with our church friends that we look forward to. The annual chili cook-off is one of them coming up and Greg is determined to make a yummy batch this year. He’s been scrolling Pinterest and finally found a new recipe to try so we will see what happens. 🙂
We had a very filling Thanksgiving! We had dinners at both my parents’ and Greg’s parents’ houses this year and a second day of leftovers at both as well so we were quite stuffed! You just can’t beat the home cooking though. We enjoyed a leisurely time visitng and curling up on the couch at my parents’ home watching a movie. We also enjoyed a louder time visiting at Greg’s parents’ home and playing with our nephews. Greg’s brother and his family (who live out of state) couldn’t make it in this year due to them just having a baby. We missed them a lot, but are so excited to meet our new little nephew!
Overall things are going pretty well around here. We are enjoying life and making fun plans for the future. We are hoping that 2019 has some great things in store.
