Hi there! We are Chris and Julian! First, we can only imagine the process you are going through, and we appreciate and respect your decision no matter what. Thank you for taking a look at our profile and learning more about us. We are so excited and honored to be prospective parents! 

We met online and after exchanging a few notes, we decided to meet in person on one of the coldest blizzards NYC had that winter. We hit it off instantly - discovering shared aspirations to be on the Mickey Mouse Club when we were kids, love of the TV show Kids Incorporated, and our affinity for early 90s pop and dance music. Our connection was immediate and undeniable. The rest, as they say, is history! 

Chris proposed to Julian in Paris in the Spring of 2017. Then, in April of 2018, we got married in a beautiful ceremony (followed by a big dance party) surrounded by all our family and friends in Beacon, NY. 

We both dreamed of starting a family soon after we got married. We are so excited to welcome a beautiful baby into our lives through open adoption. 

When I was young, I loved being outdoors and exploring! My friends and I were always playing in the woods, making forts, sledding and swimming in the nearby river.  When I’m a dad, I cannot wait to take the child outdoors to create memories of their own exploring what the world has to offer!

I had a lot of dreams of what I wanted to do for a living when I was younger, and my parents always told me to reach for the stars, which I will encourage a child to do as well. I first wanted to be a chef like my grandfather. I even got to work at my family’s restaurant when I was a teenager (where I learned my love of cooking). 

I graduated from college with a degree in Television Production. The TV studio is so full of energy and that is electrifying to me. To this day, I work in TV Control Rooms putting news and entertainment shows on the air!

Growing up, I was surrounded by many things to do, from different sports and instruments I learned to play, lots of time exploring the outdoors, and hanging out with so many friends. As a Dad, I would want the child to have those experiences as well. The more they can do and see when they are younger will only help them grow!

As a kid, I had the opportunity to live and study in many different places. From small cities in Upstate New York and big ones such as Philadelphia and Atlanta, to small villages in Southern France and bustling college towns in the United Kingdom. Living in these different places gave me a tremendous sense of global citizenship and perspective that there’s a big world out there filled with many cultures. There are lots of people and places to see and experience and stories to tell. I will encourage a child to be curious about the world and what makes it beautiful.

When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming an international ambassador. I wanted to learn about and forge connections with people from all kinds of cultures, languages, backgrounds, and experiences. But life had different plans for me! I am happy to have a job at a global advertising agency that allows me to connect and work with people from around the world. 

I look forward to the day where I get to instill this sense of connection, spirit of curiosity, and interest in the diversity of people and the world to a child.

We live in Brooklyn, NY. Our neighborhood is famous for it’s cute tree lined streets and gardens! It’s a very popular area for families with kids as well. The best part about living here is how much there is to do here and how relaxing it is with plenty of parks and shops, numerous restaurants and great schools. Our neighborhood has fun cultural festivals and block parties on the weekends where food, games and fun can be had too.

We live in a new building. It’s very spacious and has lots of windows to look out over the city—there is even a fun playroom inside! Chris is usually in the kitchen with his cookbook open perfecting some sort of delicious dish. Julian loves eating whatever Chris is cooking up, especially anything Italian, and can be found reading newspapers and books in the living room. When we aren’t cooking and eating, we’re playing with our small dog Benji, listening to music, and enjoying each other’s company.

We love the small town neighborhood feel in one of the world’s largest cities (New York) and we are excited to create a loving home and environment for a child here. We’re looking forward to days in Prospect Park having a picnic in the playground, going to the beach, zoo, train museum or just strolling through our neighborhood and see what fun, family-friendly things are happening on that given day!

We both came from different upbringings. Chris grew up in a small town in Massachusetts, with his parents and younger sister, Anne-Marie. Julian grew up in different towns in the North East with his father, a recently retired professor, and older brother, Patrice. Even though we were raised differently, one thing was constant and consistent; we were raised in homes full of love and we will do the same with a child. 

Julian has two nephews and Chris has two as well. We cherish spending time with them, we’ve gone on a trip to Disney World with them and brought them to see Paw Patrol Live. We jump at the chance to babysit them - and when we do, we love to paint pumpkins for Halloween, go sledding in the winter and run under the sprinkler in the summer! They love their Uncle Chris and Uncle Julian, and we love them!

Julian comes from a very big family - so there are plenty of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins to visit. Holidays, especially Christmas, are such fun with lots of food, presents and laughs. Our parents are so excited to welcome another grandchild into their lives, ready to spoil them with treats, toys and tons of hugs! Overall, our entire family will be overjoyed to welcome a beautiful child into our family!

We have so many! When we aren’t cooking, reading and dancing in our home, we’re out keeping active! Here are some of our favorites depending on the season:  

Fall: We love to hike upstate with our pup, Benji. We go apple picking with our friends, and make apple pie. We also love Halloween. It’s so fun seeing all the families and kids dressing up in our neighborhood -  we look forward to sharing what costumes this child wears with you! And let’s not forget Thanksgiving. Julian’s family make delicious food and keep up their tradition of going to the movies after going in for seconds!

Winter: Celebrating the holidays are big for our families and do a lot of visiting them and our friends. Seeing all the Christmas lights around the city, especially the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, is a must for us! Chris also likes to take a trip up North to ski. 

Spring: After the snow melts, we like to take full advantage of the warm weather. We take lots of walks, playing ball with Benji in the park and day trips out of the city into the country.  

Summer: Summer time means beach time! Chris’ family has a lake house in Vermont and Julian’s family has a beach house in Hilton Head, South Carolina that we like to visit. Kayaking, Mini-golf, trips to the ice cream shop and seeing a movie when it’s hot out, are some of our favorite activities in the summer. 

We thank you for taking a look at our book. We are deeply grateful, appreciative and humbled by your selfless and loving decision to give your baby the best this world can offer. We will keep an open dialogue with him/her that their birth mother made the difficult sacrifice to give their child an incredible life because of your deep love to them. 

As prospective parents, we are looking forward to giving a baby all the love, support and nurturing we possibly can. We have a wonderful support system around us, from our family and friends, everyone is looking forward to welcoming this child with arms wide open into our world.
